It Still Pays To Be Gisele Bundchen, But Kate Upton Now Joins Kate Moss Among Forbes Top Earners

We all know Gisele Bundchen commands mega-fees for her campaigns.

For the eighth year running, she's topped Forbes' list of the highest paid supermodels - proving that her's is a face that can sell everything from couture to feather dusters.*

*As far as we know, she's never lent her modelling skills to feather dusters, but we're sure if she did, they'd sell like hot cakes.*

According to the salary experts, Ms Bundchen took home a whopping £28 million, before taxes, in the last 12 months, thanks to lucrative deals with H&M, Chanel and Carolina Herrera.

Looking at her earnings, it could be said that the Brazilian beauty wouldn't get out of bed for less than £76,800 a day.

Gulp.

The real news here, though, is that for the first time, our "cat daddy" dancing babe Kate Upton has made it onto the list.

Kate, who catapaulted to fame only recently, thanks to three Sports Illustrated covers, is not your average supermodel. For many people, she harps back to an era of bodacious Marilyn Monroes and even has a touch of the completely irresistible young Anna Nicole Smith about her.

According to Forbes, she shares third place on their list of high earners with luminaries like Kate Moss and Miranda Kerr, each of them pulling in £4.2 million this year.

So let's have a little look at what makes Kate so marketable:

Well would you look at that face.

Coy, sweet, feminine, approachable, but unmistakeably beautiful - she's natural and desirable, rather than unattainable.

It is this face that landed her a cushy job as the face of Bobbi Brown, PLUS a deal to star in a number of Accessorize campaign images.

She's not afraid to get stuck in.

She's just become one of the most recent celebrities to get involved with the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, for charity - electing to have a bucket of ice cold water poured over her head.

And she nominated Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Bobbi Brown to follow suit, so let's keep an eye on those three to see if they accept her challenge.

She's also got other talents.

Part of the reason that Kate Upton might have landed herself so high on the Forbes list this year, is that she's been branching out from pure modelling, dabbling in the Hollywood life.
