That was the case for us with many of these neat businesses now for sale in Montana. Please, someone, buy them and take them to new heights. Or at least don't let them close.

10. JACKSON — If you want to combine small-town living with a party, Jackson Hot Springs might be the deal for you.

A highlight of Jackson, pop. 144, near the Pioneer Mountains and Wisdom, the hot springs is a popular spot for Bitterroot, Beaverhead and Granite county residents and tourists. In fact, even Lewis & Clark couldn't resist (and cooked an elk in the waters in 1806).

The business includes a full bar, a restaurant, the hot springs pool, a 12-room motel, two cabins, tent sites and employee housing.

Serrano's Mexican Restaurant is an East Glacier legend, and it's for sale.

3. EAST GLACIER — If it's a Saturday evening in the summer, the odds are good a line stretches out the door of Serrano's Mexican Restaurant. The popular, seasonal restaurant is on the market now along with the Backpackers Inn. It's for sale for $695,000, which includes the property, an apartment, the recipes, equipment, furniture and liquor license.
