Iowa postal services under emergency suspension due to flooding
Flooding across Iowa has suspended operations at some post offices. The United States Postal Service said Monday that post offices in Ashton, Bronson, Hornick, Lehigh, Melvin and Ricketts have been relocated to other post offices in the state.The USPS said that customers may retrieve their P.O. Box mail and notice-left items during the times listed above with photo ID. The postal service said in a press release that it will "do everything possible to continue providing uninterrupted service to these communities while emphasizing the safety of our employees and customers as our first priority." At this time, it is unknown when services will resume at the affected facilities.
