Putting up back-to-back double-digit win seasons for the first time in 22 years, the Hawks went 11-6-2 in 2014, making a run to the America East Championship title game for the second-straight season and the third time in four years under Poitras. Hartford went 5-2-0 in conference games, scoring the most wins in league action since 2003 while posting the program's best conference win percentage in 13 years.

Hartford placed six different student-athletes on America East All-Conference squads in 2014. Highlighting that list is a trio of first-team selections, the most for a Hartford team in a single season in 18 years, in juniors Javoni Simms and Jhamie Hyde, and senior Rohan Roye. Scoring his third-straight first-team nod, Simms became just the third Hawk to garner the accolade three or more times in his career, joining Alon Lubezky (2001-03) and his brother, Asaf Lubezky (1999-02). Simms, Hyde, and Roye were also recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), earning All-Region accolades.

Also earning postseason honors from the conference with nods to the second-team was sophomore midfielder Udi Cohen, who was recently tabbed to the All-America Team by the Jewish Sports Review, and sophomore goalkeeper David MacKinnon. Freshman defender Andre Morrison rounded out the America East honorees as he earned All-Rookie Team accolades.

Despite losing four seniors - including two starters - the Hawks bring back their top-three scorers for 2015 in Cohen, sophomore Jeff Tryon, and Simms. Simms ranked third on the team in scoring with three goals and three assists while Hyde, Morrison and MacKinnon were a part of a Hartford defense that led the America East in shutouts (7) while posting a 0.97 goals-against average. Cohen finished as the team-leader in assists (5) and points (11).
