AN EVENING OF MOTOWN MUSIC

at the Warner Theatre

June 17, 2016

Torrington, CT – The music and magic of Motown will come to the Warner Theatre on June 17 at 7:30 pm. The evening features The Motortown All-Stars and and The Original Vandellas. So, “Get Ready”... this will be both groups’ only area appearance this season.

The Motorotown All-Stars feature an all-star line-up of vocalists and musicians assembled from the ranks of the Capitols and the Miracles and former members of the Temptations. These vocalists have each performed with Motown legends on stages around the world and now they've come together to deliver the biggest Motown hits, complete with impeccable harmonies, dazzling choreography, flashy outfits and a 12-piece orchestra of live strings and brass, adding yet another level of excitement to those instantly recognizable grooves “My Girl”, “Ain't Too Proud to Beg”, “Ooh Baby, Baby”, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” and so many more!

The Original Vandellas, Annette Beard-Helton and Rosalind Ashford Holmes, began their career with Berry Gordy at Motown in 1962 and have stood the test of time. From touring the world to being one of the very first “girl groups” inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the group’s importance in the history of American music is well-documented. Rolling Stone Magazine has named the Vandellas to their list of the “100 Greatest Artists of All-Time.” Don’t miss this chance to see authentic rock and roll legends in action. The Vandellas’ hits include "Come and Get These Memories”, "(Love Is Like a) Heat Wave,” “Jimmy Mack”, "Dancing in the Street”, "Quicksand”, "Nowhere to Run” and many others.
