APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Money is being raised in order to help the Fox Valley Humane Association expand.
The organization is looking to raise $100,000 in 100 days to provide space dedicated to animal recovery.
Officials say the current small treatment rooms are not big enough for the medical team and the animals.
“Everybody needs a hand up every once in a while. Our job is to meet our mission to help pets and people,” executive director of the FVHA Deb Lewis told FOX 11. “The need is great and the list of animals waiting for services is long.”
A celebrity made an appearance at the event — Actor John O’Hurley who’s appearing in the show “Chicago” at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.
