No benchwarmer is going to say La La tastes like cereal.

Carmelo Anthony‘s wife posted a comeback Thursday to trash-talking Celtic scrub Jordan Crawford.

“Try again. You on the bench for a reason,” La La Vazquez wrote on her Instagram account, accompanied by an image that said “Strong women only intimidate weak men.”

Carmelo’s wife La La Vazquez has words for trashtalker Jordan Crawford: “Try again. You on the bench for a reason.”

The retort comes on the heels of the Boston Celtics’ defeat of Anthony’s New York Knicks 92-86.

After the final buzzer sounded in game 5 of the playoff series, Crawford and Anthony got in an on-court shouting match. Amateur online lip readers declared the NBA nobody had revived an old feud by making a vulgar remark about Lala, taking a page from teammate Kevin Garnett’s lewd claim that La La “tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios,” as was reported earlier this season.

Anthony later sought to play the whole thing down.

“I’m not thinking about Jordan Crawford right now, not at this point, I’ll tell you that,” Anthony said nearly an hour after the game ended. “I don’t even think he deserves for you to be typing (about him) right now.”

The Syracuse University alum wasn’t so diplomatic in January when Garnett allegedly made his vulgar taunt, leading to a brief post-game showdown near the Celtics team bus.

La La’s latest salvo in the war of words will likely add more fire to Friday’s hotly anticipated game 6 between the storied rivals.

The Knicks lead the series 3-2.
