Love & Hip Hop NYC returned to VH1 a few weeks ago with Tahiry Jose out of the mix. She had dated Joe Budden on and off for years and while they are currently off and Jose is taking a season off the show, that doesn't mean that she has been drama-free. She was physically attacked last September and just this past week her assailant, Charles Suggs got off pretty easy in a Manhattan court room.
According to a report by TMZ, Suggs plead guilty to assault and got off without any jail time. Instead he needs to complete an anger management program and steer clear of Jose for the next five years. The attack happened during New York Fashion Week, backstage at Toure Designs' show. Apparently Suggs didn't like Jose's response to him and he hauled off and pummeled her. The altercation needed to be physically broken up by others that were nearby and now, more than three months later, Jose is still in physical therapy due to a neck injury.
Given the extent of her injury, do you think that Sugg should have gotten off with just an anger management program? Jose must have flipped when she found out that her attacker's punishment was going to be pretty light while she is still struggling to recover. Can you blame her?
