Judge shaves a year off Phaedra Parks' ex Apollo Nida's 8-year prison sentence for bank fraud

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Phaedra Parks' incarcerated ex-husband Apollo Nida reportedly got his eight-year prison sentence for bank fraud and identity theft reduced an entire year by a federal judge.

The 40-year-old fitness trainer - who laundered more than $2.3M - is now scheduled to be released from Fort Dix Correctional Facility in New Jersey in August 2020 and he'll remain on probation for 'several years,' according to The Blast.

One woman who will be thrilled by the update is Apollo's fiancée Sherien Almufti, whom he popped the question to behind bars in 2016 after two years of knowing each other.

The Pennsylvania realtor - who has a 10-year-old daughter with ex-husband Derrick Copes - already picked out her Rivini wedding gown on the July 1 episode of TLC's Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta.

'She's more than cute. Sometimes you gotta upgrade,' Nida told pal Todd Tucker from prison on the ninth season of TRHOA. 'I'm a one-woman man.'

His divorce from 45-year-old wife Phaedra was finalized in 2017 after a three-year legal separation and nearly five years of marriage.

According to TMZ, Apollo and the attorney/mortician agreed to joint legal custody of their two sons - Ayden, 8; and Dylan, 5 - whom he speaks to weekly, but Parks maintains primary physical custody.

'We have two beautiful sons together,' the Parks Group managing partner told People in December.

'I'll always be grateful for that. I'm hoping he will get married to whomever he is engaged to, honey, and he will be out of my hair.'

The Bible-quoting, Buckhead-based socialite has also moved on romantically with radio personality Tone Kapone, whom she called 'a special, great guy' who 'looks like a treat because he is a treat.'
