Jeep Joyrider Caught After Running Into Waukesha Tree: Police

According to police reports, the driver left the roadway and went into a yard before the crash.

WAUKESHA, WI β€” Police in Waukesha responded to the area of Cambridge Ave. and Pendleton Place just after 10 p.m. on Saturday on a report of a single-vehicle accident in which the driver of a Jeep Liberty crashed into a tree.

According to police reports, the driver left the roadway and went into a yard before the crash. Waukesha police told Patch that the occupants of the vehicle fled the crash scene.

After a short investigation, the driver of the vehicle was located nearby. The passenger was later located at his home.

Police told Patch that the subsequent investigation revealed the driver did not have permission to be behind the wheel of the Jeep Liberty and was arrested and also issued several citations.
