Child Airlifted From KOA Campgrounds In Acton Due To Seizure

A child was airlifted from KOA Campgrounds in Acton Thursday evening after having a seizure, officials said.

The airlift was requested at approximately 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening for a medical emergency near the 7600 block of Soledad Canyon Road in Acton, according to Michael Pittman with the  Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Officials determined that the incident was due to a seizure, according to Pittman.

“They flew the child out to a special hospital just for children,” he said.

The helicopter arrived at the hospital at approximately 8 p.m., according to fire officials.

As of Thursday evening, the condition of the child is unknown.
