The Leominster American Legion team blanked Brattleboro, Vt., 6-0, on Friday during a tournament in Keene, N.H.
Elsewhere, the Lunenburg Phillies were on the wrong end of a 13-3 loss to the Clinton 76ers.

Pat Gallagher set the tone on the mound, striking out 14 over six dominant innings.
Offensively, James Powers went 2-for-3 with two RBI, Nick White went 2-for-4 and Parker Bigelow went 2-for-3 and scored a run.
Leominster will play a doubleheader in the tournament Saturday, facing Danielson, Conn., at 11 a.m., and host Keene at 4 p.m.

The Phillies took a 3-1 lead into the middle innings, but visiting Clinton scored three, four and four runs over the final three innings to rout Lunenburg.
Lunenburg (14-5) received two more hits from hot-hitting third baseman Jonathan Belliard. Ryan Britton was the tough-luck losing pitcher, as he departed with the Phillies trailing just 4-3.
The Phillies are in the midst of a grueling stretch of seven games in seven days.
