Prep volleyball roundup: Jiliana Poplawski’s 21 digs leads University to five-set win over Gonzaga Prep

Jiliana Poplawski had 19 assists with 21 digs and University (6-3) defeated visiting Gonzaga Prep (7-3) in five sets (22-25, 25-16, 25-19, 11-25, 15-10) on Tuesday in a Greater Spokane League match.

Mt. Spokane def. Lewis and Clark (25-13, 25-16, 25-20): Tia Allen had 13 digs with three aces and the Wildcats (10-1) defeated the visiting Tigers (7-5).

Mead def. Rogers (25-7, 25-10, 25-12): Jordynn Hutchinson had nine kills with two blocks and the visiting Panthers (6-4) defeated the Pirates (1-10).

Ferris def. North Central (25-11, 25-14, 25-13): Katelyn Brock tallied 34 assists with five aces and the Saxons (2-3) defeated the visiting Indians (0-5).

Central Valley def. Shadle Park (25-20, 25-7, 25-18): Sami Smith had nine kills with three aces and the Bears (5-6) swept the visiting Highlanders (2-8).

Great Northern League

East Valley def. West Valley (3-0): Megan Lange dished out 25 assists and the visiting Knights (6-2) shutout the Eagles (0-8).

Pullman def. Clarkston (3-0): Lucy Gao had 24 assists with three blocks and the visiting Greyhounds (7-1) beat the Bantams (4-4).

Northeast 1A

Colville def. Riverside (25-16, 18-25, 25-15, 25-21): Kiley Power notched 27 assists with four aces and the visiting Indians (6-3) topped the Rams (1-9). Livvie Stime led the Rams with 13 assists and five aces.

Lakeside def. Deer Park (25-11, 25-12, 25-6): Faith Kennedy tallied six kills and a pair of blocks and the Eagles (7-0) defeated visiting Deer Park (3-5).

Medical Lake def. Newport 3-2.

Northeast 2B North

Kettle Falls def. St. George’s (25-16, 25-13, 25-12): Jocelyn Glover had 14 assists with three aces and the Bulldogs (2-6) beat the visiting Dragons (0-9).

Chewelah def. Wilbur-Creston (25-19, 25-11, 25-15): Mia Bellevue dished out 28 assists and the Cougars (7-2) swept the visiting Wildcats (4-4).

Northeast 2B South

Liberty def. Lind-Ritzville/Sprague (25-7, 25-19, 25-16): Maisie Burnahm had 19 kills with three aces and the Lancers (6-2) defeated the Broncos (3-4).

Colfax def. Reardan (26-24, 25-14, 25-16): Madi Cox had 12 digs with eights assists and the visiting Bulldogs (7-1) swept the Indians (1-8).

Asotin def. Tekoa-Rosalia (25-22, 25-13, 25-17).

Northeast 1B North

Selkirk def. Cusick (25-8, 25-13, 25-15): Jenna Couch had 25 assists with three aces and the Rangers (6-1) defeated the visiting Panthers (0-7).

Oakesdale def. Colton: Brooklyn Henley had 22 kills with five blocks and the the Nighthawks (9-0) shutout the Wildcats (4-4).

Pomeroy def. Garfield-Palouse (25-8, 25-16, 25-9): Sydney Smith had 20 assists with three aces and the visiting Pirates (7-1) beat the Vikings (1-9).

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse def. Touchet (25-6, 25-12, 25-15): Ashlynn Archer had 13 kills with four blocks and the visiting Eagles (4-4) defeated the Indians (2-6).

Nonleague

Springdale def. Prescott (25-16, 25-18, 25-23): Kirstyn Abrahamson had 11 kills with one block and the Chargers defeated the Tigers.

Inland Empire League 5A

Lake City def. Coeur d’Alene: Ashley Kaufman had 11 kills with nine digs and the Timberwolves (6-0) secured the Inland Empire League championship against the Vikings (4-2).

Intermountain League

Priest River def. Bonners Ferry (25-20, 25-18, 25-20): Harlee Meek had 34 assists and the visiting Badgers (3-3)defeated the Badgers (1-5).

Timberlake def. Kellogg (25-17, 25-17, 25-16): Kylie Marneris notched 23 digs and the visiting Tigers (7-0) topped the Wildcats (4-2).

North Star League

Lakeside def. Kootenai (25-15, 25-13, 25-18): Alyssa SiJohn dished 18 assists and the visiting Knights (5-4) downed the Warriors (0-2).
