I moved 200 miles away hoping my girlfriend would follow me — she didn’t and I feel so alone

DEAR DEIDRE: I MOVED 200 miles from my girlfriend to a dream job in the hope she would follow. Now she says she no longer wants to be with me.
We are both 23 and have been together for 18 months, living with her parents so we could save some money to move out.
Her friends invited her away on holiday five months ago. I made it clear I did not want her to go.
She didn’t say any more about it until one evening when she booked it in front of me and her dad.
My feelings were totally ignored. I saw us as a couple but everything was her way or no way. She went on the holiday in September and I hoped she would change her mind about moving when she got home and join me.
But here I am, alone. I have no friends, no social life and feel very depressed.
