The Dark Knight Rises

Even though Men in Black 3 hits theaters today, I think it's safe to say that this week has mostly belonged to The Dark Knight Rises (and maybe a stupid date change for G.I. Joe: Retaliation). This week we've been privy to several different posters and a couple of awesome TV spots with some great new footage. For those eager to see more, there will be new footage debuting during the MTV Movie Awards which air June 3rd and 9/8c. In the meantime though, two new international banners have shown up in the same vein as yesterday's batch, this time with a cool shot of Batman and more facing-off with Bane. See them below!

New banners for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises via ComingSoon (click for large versions):

The Dark Knight Rises - Banner - Batman Cape Fire

The Dark Knight Rises - Banner - Batman vs Bane

Eight years after The Dark Knight, the terrorist leader Bane arrives in Gotham City, pushing it and its police force to the limits, forcing its former hero Batman to resurface after taking the fall for Harvey Dent.

The Dark Knight Rises is once again directed by Oscar nominated British filmmaker Christopher Nolan, of Following, Memento, Insomnia, Batman Begins, The Prestige, The Dark Knight and Inception previously. The script was co-written by Christopher & Jonathan Nolan (The Prestige, The Dark Knight), from a story by Chris Nolan & David S. Goyer (of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight). Warner Bros is bringing The Dark Knight Rises to regular and IMAX theaters everywhere July 20th, 2012 this summer. The Legend Ends...

These are the best... and the  one with the showdown from earlier.

Veins in Bane's head look so fake. They're overlapping...they should have just gone with the temple veins. Really bad dodging or whatever photoshop work they did on these. The people behind this clearly haven't heard of less is more. Calm down fanboys I'm not trolling just stating observation. I'm seeing the movie either way.

It's obvious that you're no troll....just an idiot. Take your anatomy expertise, settle down and just enjoy the banners.

That is NOT Bane. Bane is not in this film. He looks like Jinzo from Yugioh and Reptile from Mortal Kombat. Bad art direction. BAD!

Like that guy before me said.... Those are scars. Not veins.

Oh these are scars...my bad! But really? I'm an idiot because I don't pick up comic books? I never claimed to know a lot about Bane but as far as I know in this movie he has a big scar along his spine (and in the comics - venom is pumped to the back of his head). So can anyone please point me to a specific comic book issue that shows why Bane has acquired scars on the side of his head? And while you're at it, I'd also like an issue where he isn't wearing a mexican wrestling mask. Because it's really killing me and I can't sleep at night.

It's not his fault, the Avengers 3-D has clearly affected his brain. He's still suffering from the effects.

Oh, how clever, lets bash another superhero movie. To what end? It was an decent movie, and really the TDKR and Avengers are too very different movies, so you can't make a comparison. That's like  saying you're an idiot for liking the Batman movies but not getting on board with the English Patient.

A translation for the sarcastic elite class with perfect English skills: "In a dark time, one man stands for corruption in the system, while another works for the good of others, hoping that the people he sacrifices so much for take inspiration from his efforts. All these posters are very effective. Will Batman beat Bane? Or will Bane triumph? The last Harry Potter film didn't move me... but I suspect this one will. This tragic, dramatic, action packed comic book film is going to bring tears to the eyes of fans. Just wait and see."

I read somewhere, like, a year ago, when the filming started.. That they were going to cast Liam as R'as al Ghul once more. And that Bane was actually one of his best mercenaries. And when I saw Batman Begins for like the 10th time. I paid attention to the guys who worked for R'as. And they do have similar costumes. So I really think there will be some correlation between R'as and Bane. And ofc, I almost forgot. They both want to destroy Gotham...

i never read anything about the mercenary part but i did hear about Liam and R'as...although nothing concrete....

Bane is suppose to be a Spanish villain with British/Latin American traits who fights Batman, not a British racist concept with an army that looks like a mixture of France, Al Qaeda, and Russia.
