Sandra Mae Hedding ROXBURY - Sandra Mae Hedding, 70, died unexpectedly of natural causes Oct. 17, 2018, at home with her husband, Michael, at her side. She was born in 1948 to Helen (Dubois) and Walter Ira French, along with her sister, Rose, and her brother, Walter. She was raised in Roxbury where she would live out her life. Sandy married Michael Hedding, of Barre, on Oct. 12, 1968. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last week, the yellow anniversary roses still blossoming. Sandy and Mike raised four boys Michael, Jamie (predeceased), Brian and Dan, in Roxbury. Sandy loved her family, dogs, shopping and Elvis (not all in that order). Sandy worked at Barre Steam Laundry, Sprague's, Mayo Nursing Home, Merrimaids and Woodridge Nursing Home. She enjoyed the patients she served and liked to take her dogs in for comfort and support for those in need. She will be missed by her husband, Mike; three sons Mike and wife Donna, Dan and wife Suzanne and their children Tyler and Kaylee, Brian and his children Carrie and Briana. She is also survived by her brother, Walter and wife Carmeta; nieces Anna, Maya and Layla; daughter-in-law Karen Nielsen; mother-in-law Doris Marsha; several sisters-/brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Her warm smile, open heart and bold voice will be missed by all. Graveside services will be held Oct. 27, 1018, at 11 a.m. in the Roxbury Village Cemetery in Roxbury, followed by a potluck gathering at the Roxbury Village Fire House.
