CLEARWATER – The National Senior Games will be held in December in Clearwater this year, and a program entitled “Join the Senior Games Movement: Reflections from an Olympic Medalist” will kick things off with comments from 1984 U.S. Olympic gold medalist Calvin Smith, who was part of the winning 4-by-100-meter relay team.
It will be held from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Aging Well Center in the Long Center, 1501 N. Belcher Road. The event is free and refreshments will be provided.
Representatives from the Senior Games will highlight the health, fitness and social benefits of participating in the event.
