Obituary: Patricia A. Clark of Wilton

Pat worked in venture capital for almost forty years, witnessing the early days of evolution of the industry.

WILTON, — Ms. Patricia A. Clark of Wilton, formerly of Lexington and Medford died, Thursday, April 11, 2019 in Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk. She was 85.

Ms. Clark was born in Boston on November 22, 1933, a daughter of the late Leo and Teresa (DeCourcey) Clark.

Pat was a graduate of Medford High School. Following graduation from Katharine Gibbs School, she worked in venture capital for almost forty years, witnessing the early days of evolution of the industry. She was secretary to General Georges Doriot at American Research and Development Corporation from 1956 to 1975. She then joined The Boston Company as assistant to its Chairman and following that she worked at the Eastern Air Lines Pilots Pension Fund. Pat finished her career back in venture capital with Palmers Partners.

In retirement, Pat was involved in volunteer activities including the Development and Finance offices of the Archdiocese of Boston, the Lexington Meals on Wheels program, FISH of Lexington, and Perkins School for the Blind. She was a longtime platelet donor for the American Red Cross.

Pat is survived by her sister, Ruth Shenk of Redding; her niece and nephews, Susan Mason of Fairfield, Matthew Mason and his wife, Derrel, of Wilton, Christopher Mason and his wife, Carol, of Newtown, and David Mason of Redding; her grandnieces and grandnephews, Jordan, Connor, Jenna, Jack, and Ian Mason and her great grandniece, Kylie Bailey.

Family and friends will honor and remember Pat's life by gathering on Saturday, April 27th, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
