THADDEUS CONSTANTINE Obituary

CONSTANTINE, Thaddeus Thaddeus Betts Constantine of Boston, MA and Weekapaug, RI, born January 2, 1972 in Silver Spring, MD, died of natural causes at home in Boston on September 17, 2018. Thad graduated from The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, CT, and the University of Richmond in Richmond, VA. He attended the Boston Architectural Center and went on to become an associate at DiMarinisi & Wolfe, a municipal architecture firm in Boston. Thad loved his schools, remaining very active in various Alumni activities and college recruiting. Thad was an avid sports fan for his hometown and college teams. He loved the Richmond Spiders, Washington Redskins and was elated when the Washington Capitals won the Stanley Cup this year. His two favorite places were the Newstead Resort in Bermuda and his beloved Weekapaug, RI where he enjoyed all the Atlantic shore has to offer. All those who knew Thad considered him to be their kindest and most generous friend. He will be sorely missed. He is survived by his father and mother, Richard and Mallory Constantine of Weekapaug, his brother, Wells, and his wife, Negar, of Novato, CA, his sister, Caroline Constantine Rosen, and her husband, Matthew, of Darien, CT, and Cannon and Archer Rosen, his nephews, and Hanna and Ellie Constantine, his nieces. Funeral Services will be held at the Watch Hill Chapel in Watch Hill, RI at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 21, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Thad's name to the Weekapaug Yacht Club, PO Box 2361, Weekapaug, RI 02891. Dear Mallory and Rick
I send my deepest sympathy to you ,Wells and Carolyn.
I was so enjoying Thad's posts on Weekapaug for the last several years. He was a master with his camera and continued to keep my Weekapaug memories glowing within me even though I lived miles away.

We are heart-broken to hear about Thad -- who has left us much too soon. We will always cherish our time together in Weekapaug. There was nothing better than seeing Thad's smile, receiving his bear hug, and catching up on the latest news with him. Such a gifted artist and a genuine friend to all. We send our deepest sympathy to the Constantine family.

I have fond memories of a young Thad sitting in my 6th, 7th and 8th grade Science class at ST. John's Episcopal School. He reached out to me last year to congratulate me on my retirement. Sending love and thoughts to the Constantine family.

I was a fraternity brother of Thad's at Richmond. A couple of years behind him, but I got to know him quite well and kept in touch sporadically through the years, just recently connecting with him on Instagram. If I could only say one thing about Thad, it is that he is one of the most generous people I have ever known. He was always willing to drop everything and go out of his way to help someone in need or simply to hang out.
The world is worse off without Thad, but better off for him being with us for a short time.
My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

I have had the extreme privilege of knowing
Thad through our mutual love of ships and the comments we exchanged via facebook - may the winds of the seas take you to new shores and calm seas - you are a legacy to all ship lovers - and the models you shared with our ship fraternity - Rest well - Bryan

Thad was one of the longest online friends I ever had, He was a great source of knowledge and you could always ask him anything, he would have the answer for sure. He will be dearly missed in the ocean liner community online! Rest in peace friend! Courage to his family in this sad time.
