Aaron Dell stopped all 24 shots he faced and the San Jose Sharks got goals from five players in a 5-0 win over the Ducks on Tuesday night at SAP Center in San Jose.

The Ducks got off to a lackluster start with their seven-game preseason slate by getting blown away with a four-goal second period. After Filip Sandberg scored for the Sharks in the final minute of the first, Daniel O’Regan, Mikkel Boedker, Kevin Labanc and Brandon Bollig tallied for San Jose.

Reto Berra went the distance for the Ducks in goal, allowing the five goals on 36 shots. Berra is expected to play for the Ducks’ American Hockey League team in San Diego.

The only expected regulars in the Ducks’ lineup Tuesday were center Rickard Rakell, left wing Nick Ritchie and defensemen Josh Manson and Brandon Montour. Veteran forward Jared Boll also played along with newcomers Dennis Rasmussen and Derek Grant, expected challengers for the fourth-line center spot.

The Ducks will host Arizona on Wednesday night. Kevin Boyle and Angus Redmond will serve as their goalies while top prospects Sam Steel, Max Jones and Jacob Larsson are expected to play.
