Maury 61, No. 1 Norview 59

Ke’shaun Tonsall drained a go-ahead 3-pointer with less than a minute remaining in regulation, and the Commodores shocked the Pilots in an Eastern District showdown on Tuesday.

Tonsall and Bryce Phillips scored 14 points apiece, while Nasir Parker (12) and C.J. Hollis (10) both finished in double-digit scoring for Maury.

No. 4 Cape Henry 72, No. 2 Norfolk Collegiate 67

No. 5 King’s Fork 85, Nansemond River 70

Jayden Epps scored 18 points for the Bulldogs in a win over the Warriors.

George Beale scored 15 points for King’s Fork in the Southeastern District win.

No. 6 Green Run 67, Cox 51

George Wilson finished with 20 points as the Stallions defeated the Falcons in Beach District action.

Elijah Kennedy had 19 points for Green Run, while Jordan Lewis had 20 points to lead Cox.

No. 10 Kecoughtan 59, Woodside 55

DeJuan Campbell had 20 points, five rebounds and five assists to lead the Warriors past the Wolverines.

Jaylin Davis added 13 points, five assists and five steals and Amarion Wilson had six rebounds and five blocks for Kecoughtan.

Quishaun Brevard and Kuron Coleman had 15 points apiece to lead Woodside.

No. 12 Oscar Smith 91, Lakeland 68

Kenyon Giles scored a game-high 30 points as the Tigers picked up a win over the Cavaliers in the Southeastern District.

Oscar Smith’s Andre Bottoms and Torrey Jordan each added 18 points, while Bottoms also dished out eight assists.

No. 13 Landstown 68, Kellam 44

Donald Hand scored 20 of his game-high 22 points in the second half to lead the Eagles over the Knights in a Beach District battle.

Landstown led Kellam 20-18 at halftime before outscoring the home team 23-10 in the third quarter to take control.

Hand added five rebounds and four assists while Corey Martin finished with seven points, eight rebounds and three blocks for Landstown.

Beach District

Kempsville 61, First Colonial 59

Dominic Stanford scored 26 points, including the go-ahead free throws, for the Chiefs, who picked up a narrow victory over the Patriots.

Mikhar Jackson scored a game-high 27 points, and Marcus Delbridge scored nine points while adding nine rebounds and four blocks in a strong defensive effort.

Salem 48, Bayside 42

Camron Kearney (11) and Bryce Shaw (10) each scored in double figures to lead the SunDevils over the Marlins.

Tallwood 62, Ocean Lakes 45

D.K. McKelvin finished a team-high 21 points and pulled in 10 rebounds as the Lions defeated the Dolphins.

Tallwood’s Mekhi Reid came off the bench and added 12 points.

Eastern District

Churchland 78, Wilson 72

Sage McLellan led Churchland with 17 points as the Truckers rallied past Portsmouth rival Wilson in Eastern District action.

Lynquell Dickenson-Glover and Ja’Quan Askew added 13 points apiece for the Truckers, who overcame a 40-33 halftime deficit by opening on a 10-0 run in the third quarter. Michael Smith Jr. had a game-high 20 points for Wilson.

Lake Taylor 65, Granby 37

Zyrail Mitchell led the Titans with 17 points in a win over the Comets.

Norcom 56, Booker T. Washington 51

Donnell Langford finished with 22 points and Nadir Elam-Alston added 17 for the Greyhounds as they defeated the Bookers in an Eastern District matchup.

Southeastern District

Hickory 38, Grassfield 36

Gavin Weddle sank a pair of free throws with less than a second left to lead the Hawks over the Grizzlies in a Southeastern District clash.

Weddle finished with five points and Jaylon Riddick added 16 points for Hickory.

Jayden Eason had 11 points to lead Grassfield.

Indian River 84, Great Bridge 54

Kahlil Oden scored 19 points as the Braves beat the Wildcats.

Kyonte Stephenson added 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, while AJ Walters led all scorers with 21 points for Great Bridge.

Peninsula District

Hampton 65, Gloucester 45

Cole Swann scored a team-high 15 points, Wayne Hedgepeth added 11 points and the Crabbers topped the Dukes.

Private schools

Atlantic Shores 65, Broadwater 37

Eric Henderson led the Seahawks with 17 points.

Norfolk Christian 77, Catholic 57

Kaeshawn Ward scored a game-high 19 points for the Ambassadors.

Peninsula Catholic 87, Greenbrier Christian 48

Tavion Meekins had 22 points and Calvin Beatty added 15 for the Knights.

Portsmouth Christian 71, Isle of Wight 55

Tim Montgomery finished with a triple-double with 18 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds as the Patriots clinched the No. 2 seed in next week’s Metro Conference tournament with a win over the Chargers.

Noah Fesl finished 5 for 5 from 3-point range for Portsmouth Christian and added 17 points. Russ Wells finished with 17 to lead Isle of Wight.

StoneBridge 56, Hampton Christian 47

Anthony Simpson had a game-high 29 points for the Cavaliers in a come-from-behind win over the Warriors.

Emani Langley added 12 points for StoneBridge, which trailed 28-24 at halftime.

Le’Asia Foreman led the Pilots with 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists in a win over the Commodores.

JaNaiya Quinerly led all scorers with 27 points as the Titans dominated the Comets.

Desire Short (10), Jordan Poole (14), DeAisjah Somerville (11) and Ashanti Barnes (12) also scored in double figures.

No. 5 Hampton 87, Gloucester 20

Cierra Bell had 34 points to lead all scorers as the Crabbers rolled past the Dukes.

LaNae Stokes added 14 points and six assists for Hampton.

No. 6 Western Branch 48, No. 14 Deep Creek 43

Eryn Byrd tallied a game-high 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Bruins clipped the Hornets.

Cayla Copeland chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Bruins, who pulled away in the fourth quarter after breaking a 25-25 halftime tie.

No. 7 Kempsville 81, First Colonial 40

Aanyah Lambert finished with 27 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and four steals to lead the Chiefs over the Patriots.

Malia McCoy added 21 points, five rebounds and four assists and Cate Carlson contributed 19 points, 11 rebounds and five steals for Kempsville.

No. 8 Grafton 50, Smithfield 35

Nyah Chisolm finished with 11 points, surpassing 1,000 for her career, as the Clippers defeated the Packers in Bay Rivers District action.

Nikki Gibson led Grafton with 12 points, while Jayla Gray led Smithfield with 14.

No. 9 Warhill 52, York 22

McKenna Eddings posted a game-high 22 points for the Lions as they picked up a Bay Rivers District win over the Falcons.

No. 10 King’s Fork 54, Nansemond River 18

Niyah Gaston finished with a game-high 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs in a Southeastern District win over the Warriors.

Ashawnti Williams added 14 points, 15 rebounds and three steals for King’s Fork.

No. 11 Landstown 47, Kellam 29

Jenesis Hill had 14 points to lead the Eagles past the Knights in Beach District action.

Peyton Curney and Sasha Beringer added 10 points for Landstown, which has won 14 of its last 16 games after starting 1-3.

Naheeda Nasan led Kellam with seven points.

No. 12 Nansemond-Suffolk 72, Walsingham 32

Alivia Giles scored a game-high 15 points, adding nine rebounds and six steals to lead the Saints past the Trojans.

Cammy Reid had 14 points and Emma Conrod finished with eight points and four assists for Nansemond-Suffolk.

No. 13 Salem 58, Bayside 41

Tinesha Gregory had a game-high 29 points for the SunDevils as they defeated the Marlins in a Beach District clash.

Gregory added 10 rebounds and five blocks and Joscelyne Meyers contributed five steals for Salem. Amya Moss (16) and Ashanti Broughton (15) combined for 31 points for Bayside.

Beach District

Cox 34, Green Run 26

Keeana Brown, Alex Perez and Rylie Carson each scored eight points to lead the Falcons past the Stallions in a Beach District matchup.

Ocean Lakes 31, Tallwood 23

Alexis Starks had 10 points as the Dolphins held off the Lions in a Beach District game.

Amber Kappes led Tallwood with eight points.

Eastern District

Booker T. Washington 46, Norcom 33

Jhyniah Curry had 13 points and four steals to lead the Bookers over the Greyhounds.

Wilson 67, Churchland 29

Layla Turner’s 18 points and six rebounds led the Presidents in their win over the Truckers.

A.J. Paran added 17 points and five assists.

Southeastern District

Grassfield 57, Hickory 37

Meadow Dyke had 17 points, Mya Morris had 14 points and five steals and Gabby Morris added five blocks for the Grizzlies in a win over the Hawks.

Indian River 54, Great Bridge 53

Yasmine Brown filled the stat sheet with 31 points, eight rebounds and four steals to help the Braves overcome an 11-point halftime deficit and beat the Wildcats.

Sandra Mason added 17 points for Indian River in the Southeastern District matchup. Great Bridge missed a last-second shot to win.

Lakeland 62, Oscar Smith 34

Kemonye Canady finished with 20 points, seven rebounds and six steals as the Cavaliers beat the Tigers.

Janajah Artis scored 10 points for Lakeland, while Kennedee Matthews led Oscar Smith with 10 points in the Southeastern Conference matchup.

Bay Rivers District

Lafayette 38, Poquoson 26

Taylor Thomas finished with a game-high 14 points as the Rams held off the Islanders in Bay Rivers District action.

Alexis Blake added nine points and pulled down 12 rebounds forLafayette. Logan Pickford and Skyler Brown had seven points apiece to lead Poquoson.

New Kent 69, Jamestown 62

Katelyn Norman had a game-high 26 points for the Trojans as they outlasted the Eagles in double overtime.

Madison Foley added 14 points and McKenna Mueller and Haley Hyndshaw finished with 11 points apiece for New Kent.

Private schools

Catholic 62, Norfolk Christian 40

Jorah Eppley finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds as the Crusaders beat the Ambassadors in Norfolk.

Taylor Ethridge added 11 points for Catholic, which clinched the No. 2 seed in next week’s Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools tournament. Katherine Visser led Norfolk Christian with 16 points.

Greenbrier Christian 70, Peninsula Catholic 27

Rachel Castine scored a game-high 22 points for the Gators as they rolled past the Knights.

Chloe Belford finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds and Jayda Lowe added 17 points for Greenbrier Christian in the TCIS victory.

Steward 58, Hampton Roads 29

Tyler Johnson finished with 12 points, eight rebounds, six blocks and three steals for the Navigators in a loss to the Richmond-area Spartans.
