Mötley Crüe‘s biopic The Dirt is set to be released on Netflix next month and it’s now been revealed that the band recorded a new song with Machine Gun Kelly for the film’s soundtrack.
Kelly is playing drummer Tommy Lee in the film, which is based on the no-holds-barred 2001 autobiography of the same name. Filming in early 2018, with the band serving as producers on the project.
The members of Mötley Crüe reunited to record four new songs for the soundtrack and bassist Nikki Sixx has now announced that Machine Gun Kelly will feature on one of those songs.
During a Twitter Q&A, Sixx was asked if Machine Gun Kelly would guest on one of the songs. “Yes. New song with MGK is coming really soon,” he wrote. You can see that tweet below.

Speaking about the new songs last year, Sixx tweeted: “Fück can I just say it I’m listening to the roughs of the new @MotleyCrue and it feels real and raw. Everybody is playing like mad and the songs crush. Bob Rock brought the sounds. Plus we have a surprise that will confirm that we’re outta our minds.”
Kelly previously likened Lee to a “puppy dog.”

In a new interview with Billboard, Kelly explained: “Tommy is like the puppy dog of the group. He makes mistakes, but you kind of love him more when he’s making mistakes,” he explained.
Motley Crüe quit touring in 2015 and signed an agreement saying they would never tour again. They last released new music in 2008 with the album ‘Saints Of Los Angeles‘ and, while they haven’t said they won’t release any more new music, have been inactive on that front since.
The film will be released on March 22 with Vince Neil played by actor Daniel Webber, Douglas Booth taking on the role of Sixx, and Game Of Thrones‘ Iwan Rheon (Mick Mars) completing the line-up. It’ll arrive on Netflix March 22nd.
