Last night, actress, singer and philanthropist Rosario Dawson looked like a rebel. She posed on the red carpet rocking a tank inspired by The Rolling Stones, jeans, black heels, and leopard-print purse while making the sign of the horns with her tongue sticking out. Oh, and the left side of her head was shaved.

The effortlessly cool actress hosted the Yellow Fever Fashion Presentation in The enthouse of the Hotel on Rivington in NYC to support her friend, Jamison Ernest (owner of the Yellow Fever fashion label and Brooklyn Beat Records).

"He's hit rock bottom at different times, and he's come right back up again," she said of Ernest, her long-time comrade with whom she's often had joint birthday celebrations. "I think he's just an inspiration for someone like me because he projects what he says."

The event, which started around 9 p.m., offered an abundance of Peroni by the bottle and Belvedere Vodka (with Pink Bazooka and Spicy Screw mixed cocktails) in addition to remixed rap music.

Besides attending parties, Dawson has kept a busy schedule, working on three movies: Parts Per Billion, Chavez, and Gimme Shelter co-staring Vanessa Hudgens. The latter title follows a runaway pregnant teen fleeing her abusive mother to find her birth father (played by Brendan Fraser).

Read on for the words she lives by, how she prepared for her role as an addict, and the movies she watches.
