Teen killed in Ramona crash Sunday night identified
Anthony Eunice, a 17-year-old Ramona resident, was killed after being ejected from a pickup in a traffic collision at a Ramona intersection Sunday night.
Eunice was identified Monday by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The crash was reported shortly after 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Arena Drive and Arena Way, said California Highway Patrol Officer Travis Garrow.
Eunice, the sole occupant of the Ford F-150 truck, was driving east on Arena Way when a Honda Civic driven by a 55-year-old woman going north on Arena Drive crashed into his truck, according to Medical Examiner’s officials.
The Ford overturned, ejecting Eunice. CHP officers don’t believe he was wearing a seat belt, Garrow said. Eunice died at the scene before he could be taken to a hospital.
The woman driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital to be treated.
Garrow said it was not known if drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.
