Fire at Rancho Bernardo condo displaces 3
The fire was reported shortly after 1:20 p.m. at the condo complex on Caminito Pinero
A fire caused $200,000 in damage to a condo in Rancho Bernardo Monday afternoon, displacing two adults and one child, San Diego fire officials said.
The blaze was reported shortly after 1:20 p.m. at the building on Caminito Pinero near Escala Drive just east of Interstate 15. When firefighters arrived they saw smoke and fire coming from the second floor of the building, fire department spokeswoman Mónica Muñoz said. The fire was knocked down shortly before 2 p.m.
The fire caused $150,000 in damage to the condo, including three rooms, and $50,000 in damage to the contents.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
The Red Cross was assisting the displaced residents.
