RAYMOND (WGME) -- Maine’s newest medical marijuana store is up and running in Raymond. A grand opening was held for the new store, which is located on Route 302.

The store, run by B&B Cultivation, provides thoroughly tested and pure medical marijuana for those with the proper certification. Flower and edible products that help with symptoms such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, seizures and diabetes are also available.

The active components of the cannabis plant, called cannabinoids, have been shown to inhibit tumor growth and kill cancer cells in lab testing.

“There’s so much inconsistency in the industry. We’re really trying to bring to light a purity, potency, and consistency,” Owner Shawn Brody said. “All of our flowers are fully tested for heavy metals and motes and cannabinoid profile, so you know what you’re getting. There’s no guesswork. A lot of people aren’t doing that and we pride ourselves in full testing.”

The B&B facility has a state-of-the-art security system and the store is veteran owned and operated, providing military veterans 20 percent off their purchases with proper identification.
