Brothers Osborne, Tech N9ne announce Knitting Factory shows

Fall concert season is starting to take shape, with country-rock duo Brothers Osborne and rapper Tech N9ne coming to the Knitting Factory in October.

Brothers Osborne will perform Oct. 17.

After a successful album cycle behind their debut release “Pawn Shop,” to the tune of back-to-back wins for Vocal Duo of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards and Country Music Awards, an ACM award and CMA award for Music Video of the Year for “It Ain’t My Fault,” and three Grammy nominations, Brothers Osborne released “Port Saint Joe” in April.

“After years of writing, traveling, playing and evolving we’re finally releasing new music,” John Osborne said in a statement on the duo’s website. “This music, tracked in a beach house in Florida, is a sonic representation of the road we’ve been traveling.”

“In the making of ‘Port Saint Joe,’ we weren’t trying to be anything or anyone that wasn’t truly us. Imperfections and all,” TJ Osborne added.

The Wild Feathers will open the show. Tickets are $35 in advance and $37 the day of the show. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through www.ticketweb.com or www.knittingfactory.com or by calling (866) 468-7623.

On Oct. 18, like clockwork, rapper Tech N9ne will be back for his biannual headlining show at the Knit.

After stopping by Spokane in April, the rapper is once again performing in support of “Planet,” which was released in March.

“Planet” comes in response to Tech N9ne’s wish to create a better world than the one we’re living in.

“I wanted to create my own planet because this one seems to be having so many problems with hatred and murders,” he said in a statement. “I just wanted to leave this planet by creating my own, with love and hella lyrics.”

Want to get decked out in head-to-toe Tech N9ne gear before the show? Order the VIP package for $195, plus shipping and handling. You’ll get two Tech N9ne shirts, a drawstring bag, a gray soccer scarf, a lanyard, a coin case and much, much more.

Futuristic, Dizzy Wright and Krizz Kaliko will open the “Independent Grind” tour. Tickets are on sale now through www.ticketweb.com or www.knittingfactory.com or by calling (866) 468-7623. Tickets are $29.50 in advance and $35 the day of the show.
