Fire causes power outages in Pevely

PEVELY, Mo. – The Pevely Police Department, city hall and about 800 Ameren customers were without power Tuesday after a fire on Main Street.

The Pevely Police Department said a fire at the old Western Auto building on the 100 block of Main Street. They said the Dunklin Fire Protection District and Ameren Electric were working to restore the power.

Police also said they were working on a warming center if the outage continued for an extended period of time.
