GBI investigates body found in vehicle in Waverly Hall

WAVERLY HALL, GA (WTVM) - The GBI is investigating a body found in Waverly Hall, Georgia.

The Talbot County Sheriff's Office received a call around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday in reference to a vehicle being in a pond in the Oak Mountain Estates neighborhood. When police and fire officials arrived at the scene, they found a 1991 Nissan 240 in a pond.

After removing the vehicle from the pond, 20-year-old Cameron Roney of Waverly Hall was found dead inside of the car.

The GBI was requested to conduct an investigation. An autopsy is being held at the GBI Headquarters in Decatur, Georgia.
