Norma Jean (Jaegers) Ashmore, 66, of Bonnots Mill, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 15, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 8, 1952, in Jefferson City, a daughter of the late Norman M. and Laverne (Smith) Jaegers of Frankenstein. Norma attended St. Mary's School and graduated from Fatima (Osage R-3) High School in Westphalia. She worked as a dedicated courier driver with UPS and FedEx accumulating over 2.5 million miles of deliveries over her many years. She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein and believed that "Life is the challenge, God is not". Norma was a great baker and made over 90 cobblers for the Osage County Relay for Life. She was very creative with floral design and made wreaths that were enjoyed by many. Norma's true talent was designing and constructing quilts from scratch. She said, "One thing that no one can take away from an individual is their creativity." Norma also enjoyed playing bingo at the DAV. She donated all of her bingo winnings to the Central Missouri Honor Flight which helped send three veterans on a trip they will never forget. Of course, Norma's greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is survived by her children: William Wesley Ashmore (Tisha), Jason Pfahl (Courtney Brockman), both of Bonnots Mill, Amanda Mary Roberts (David) of Linn, and Casey Lynn Ashmore-Unger of Jefferson City; grandchildren: Mckinzie Ashmore, Wesley Ashmore, Caleb Ray, Halee Lock, Brady Bockenfeld, Nolan Bockenfeld, Boone Roberts, Grace Roberts and Hannah Roberts; and one great-grandchild: Bryar Rae Higgins; siblings: Jim Jaegers (Patty) of Linn, Carla Bratcher of St. Charles, Karen Rush (Albert) of St. Peters, and Linda Ejchler of Linn; and sister-in-law: JoAnn Jaegers of Jefferson City. Norma was preceded in death by siblings: Carl Jaegers, Vernon Jaegers, Wayne Jaegers, Mary Kay Jaegers and Joan F. Jaegers San Miguel; and brother-in-laws: Larry Bratcher and David San Miguel. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 19, 2018 at Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Linn, Missouri with Prayer Service at 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein, Missouri with Fr.
