11th Annual Highland Park 5K Is May 5

Spring is right around the corner, we just know it! Get ready to run in this fun local race. Sponsors are currently needed!

HIGHLAND PARK, NJ — Did you know the town of Highland Park, New Jersey holds a 5K race every year? The race, now in its eleventh year, will be held Sunday, May 5 this year.

The eleventh Highland Park 5K race is coming up on Sunday May 5. The race is currently seeking sponsors. Would you like to be a part of this Highland Park tradition, and support this community fundraiser?

The course, closed to traffic during the race, starts on North 5th Avenue by Highland Park High School and then heads downhill towards New Brunswick for a fast first mile. The race then winds its way through the historic streets of Highland Park before finishing on the high school track. The event welcomes all participants including strollers, wheelchairs and walkers.

The 5K starts at 9 a.m. After that, there will be kids' races will take place on the high school track at 10 a.m. Kids races include a toddler dash, 200m (half lap), 400m (full lap), and 800m (2 laps). Children may participate in more than one race.
