Jason Lee Longie danced into heaven May 30th, 2018 at the age of 42. Jason was born September 11th, 1975 at Tioga Medical Center to Louie and Carol Longie of Tioga. He attended Central Elementary and graduated from Tioga High School in 1994. After high school he moved to Minot where he attended the Quentin N. Burdick Job Corps center. You could always find a smile on Jason's face. He took pride in being the "BEST pizza maker in town". He loved hanging out with family and friends. Nothing made him happier than when the music was cranked and he was 'busting a move'. He was always first on the floor and the last to leave. Jason loved all forms of music and could dance to it all. Few could move like Jason..." Man that kid can dance!!"

Jason moved to Grand Forks, ND in 2007. After working various retail and service jobs, he found his passion working at Wal-Mart. Shortly before his passing he was promoted to a management position. Jason had many close friends that he worked with over the years, but nobody compared to his Wal-Mart friends and family. He took pride in what he did, and truly cared for everyone he worked with and many customers he knew. Jason never met a stranger. He would give his shirt off his back to anyone he thought was in need. Speaking of the shirt, Jason had a style of his own. He could be seen in many different styles but one that stood out most recently would be a Hawaiian shirt, flip flops, and his straw fedora hat.

Jason touched many lives, he taught us to dance through life and love unconditionally.

Jason is survived by his loving mother Carol Longie of Tioga ND, Brothers Louis (Cindy) Longie, Brian (Kimberlie) Longie, Cary (Becky) Longie all of Tioga ND, Mark (Shawna) Longie of Manhattan, MT, Kevin (Stephanie) Longie, Kelly (Stephanie) Longie of Bismarck ND; and many Nieces, Nephews-including his Godson Kellen, Cousins, Aunts and Uncles. He was preceded in death by his father Louie Longie, and Grand Parents Peter and Natalie "Rose" Longie and Ida Moe and Carly Moe and cousin Connie Wold.
