A Salisbury man has been convicted of multiple charges, including sexual solicitation of a minor, after a two-day trial in Wicomico County court.

Harry Lee Chisum, 41, faces a maximum sentence of 20 years and will be required to register as a tier II sex offender for 25 years upon release after a jury found him guilty Oct. 11 of third-degree sex offense, sexual solicitation of a minor and second-degree assault, according to prosecutors.

The Wicomico County State's Attorney's Office said the conviction stems from a March 2018 incident involving a child younger than 15 who Chisum had ongoing contact with and knew through a family relationship.

Sentencing in the case has been delayed to allow for a pre-sentence investigation and mental health evaluation.
