Original Story:

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – One injury has been reported after severe weather leaves damage in parts of Central Arkansas.

Tornado warnings were issued early Thursday afternoon when the storms moved in across Pulaski, Faulkner, Lonoke, White counties. There were also flash flood warnings in those areas.

Photos we received from the southwest side of town showed damage to buildings along Interstate 30 in the Mabelvale area and further away near Scott Hamilton Drive.

One photo showed a tree blocking part of Frontage Road near exit 130 and building damage to shops. You could see metal siding hanging off and insulation that had been blown into fences.

The Little Rock Police Department says the one storm-related injury was a man who was in a car when a street sign flew into his vehicle in southwest Little Rock near Interstate 30.
