2nd Man Sentenced In Burlington County Cell Phone Store Robberies

A Mercer County man has been sentenced to four years in prison for robbing Metro PCS stores in Willingboro, Lumberton and Levittown, Pennsylvania, in 2016, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced on Tuesday.

Zeldrick Nance, 31, of Trenton, previously pleaded guilty to an information charging him with one count of conspiracy to commit Hobbs Act robberies in September and October 2016. He is also subject to three years of supervised release and ordered must pay $26,307 in restitution.

Rodney Day, 27, of Trenton, pleaded guilty to a separate information with the same charge around the same time. He was sentenced to eight years, four months in prison on Nov. 1. They have both been in custody since they were arrested on Jan. 3, 2017.

Lisa Anderson, 34, of Griffithville, Arkansas, has been in custody since her arrest on Jan. 3, 2017. She has pleaded guilty to her role in the robberies and is currently scheduled for sentencing on Dec. 6.

Day, Nance and Anderson robbed the Metro PCS store in Willingboro on Sept. 29, 2016, according to documents filed in the case and statements made in court. Nance duct taped the store occupants and placed them into a store bathroom as Day brandished what appeared to be a gun, authorities said. At the same time, Anderson stole cell phones and money from the cash register.

During the robbery, Day demanded the keys to a car owned by one of the victims, and the three suspects fled in the car, authorities said. The same sequence of events repeated themselves on Oct. 7, 2016, at the Lumberton store, and on Oct. 12, 2016, at the Levittown store.
