(KTVI) – High school students from both sides of the river came together Tuesday to come up with a way to use social media to combat cyberbullying. Eighty students from eight different schools met at the Characterplus headquarters on Craig Road.

Characterplus is a group that focuses on respect issues in school including stopping bullying.

This campaign is called character goes viral.

The kids brainstormed to come up with a hashtag that can be used to develop a twitter campaign about fighting cyberbullying.

The hashtag that the kids came up with is #startswithus.

Besides taking the hashtag back to their schools, the St. Louis Rams will show the hashtag on the jumbo screens at the Edward Jones Dome during games.
