Millburn’s Caring Kids Organization Ramps Up Gift Drive

The 8th annual holiday event benefits Newark's New Jersey Regional Day School.

MILLBURN, NJ - For the eighth time in as many years Millburn's Caring Kids Organization is sponsoring a holiday gift drive and celebration. The organization has partnered with New Jersey Regional Day School in Newark where every child in the school has significant special needs. Additionally, many of the families are dealing with significant financial hardships and food insecurity.

Caring Kids is a school districtwide, parent-run organization, whose mission is to help children grow into compassionate, positive, and empowered members of society through character education programs in the schools, social activities, family enrichment talks/workshops, and community events.

The organization is asking the community to once again bring the joy of the season to so many children and families in need. Those interested in sponsoring a child to provide them with gifts for the holidays, email Sharon Cohen at sharonmcohen2@gmail.com. They are also collecting Shoprite and Walmart gift cards to help the families with basic necessities.
