WATCH: Small Plane Crashes Into Lake Travis: Austin EMS [UPDATED]

No injuries were reported, and the aircraft's three occupants exited aircraft without the need for hospitalization, officials said.

Austin, TX -- Emergency officials said a biplane crashed into Lake Travis, near Windy Point-Bob Wentz Park on Saturday afternoon.

Travis County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Lisa Block told Patch in a telephone interview that the plane's three occupants exited the aircraft on their own. No fatalities or injuries were reported, save for minor scrapes sustained by one of the passengers.

Block said the aircraft -- which she described as a "crop duster"-looking, double-winged sort of plane which ended up being a sightseeing aircraft -- left Austin Bergstrom International Airport and crashed into the lake at about 4:20 p.m. The biplane made impact 250 yards from a boat ramp at Windy Point, she said.

No injuries were reported on the ground either, the sheriff's spokeswoman said.

A bystander at the site recorded the impact from a cell phone and posted the footage on Instagram. Instagram user Jennifer Moran posted the video on the social network platform Saturday afternoon, showing the plane hitting the water and then slowly flipping over as it partially sank into the water.

Block noted the plane had been rented for the day, and the pilot had been been flying the pair of passengers on something of a sightseeing trip.

Ten minutes after sending their initial tweet on the incident, EMS officials said none of the crash victims needed to be taken to the hospital for treatment as a result of the incident.
