Fire fatal for woman in Dewey

Dewey, Okla. — A fire takes a woman's life in Dewey, Oklahoma.

Officials say the woman died in a structure fire early Tuesday morning.

Firefighters responded to the fire near 6th Street and North Cherokee Avenue around 1:30 and reported it as contained by 4 in the morning.

We're told firefighters found the woman's body in the back of the home.

Washington County Emergency Management said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
