The list of games includes Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Portal: Still Alive, and the compilation pack Half-Life 2: The Orange Box. Like previous Xbox One X Enhanced Xbox 360 games, these four titles will now run at a higher resolution and “9X the original pixel count.”

Half-Life 2: The Orange Box technically counts as five separate games to receive the Xbox One X support since it contains Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Portal, and multiplayer first-person shooter Team Fortress 2. Portal: Still Alive is a port of the original game with 14 bonus test chambers modified from the Portal: The Flash Version MapPack and nine new achievements.

The games join the list of 17 Xbox 360 titles already enhanced for the system, including Gears of War 3, Halo 3, Red Dead Redemption, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and Valve’s Portal 2. While it is unknown yet what changes the four games received specifically, some previous backwards compatible games have been upgraded with up to 4K resolution and HDR support.
