Man robbed of shoes at gunpoint: South Euclid Police Blotter

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Aggravated robbery, Wilmington Road: A resident reported Sept. 10 that he was robbed at gunpoint while trying to sell two pairs of athletic shoes to someone he had met online.

He said the suspect brandished the gun and ordered him to hand over the shoes. The suspect ran off through a resident's back yard and was not located by responding officers.

Theft, Eastway Road: A resident reported Sept. 13 that a lawnmower, weed trimmer and chainsaw had been stolen from her home.

Suspicious person, Colony Road: A resident reported Sept. 12 that her daughter, 10, was approached by an unknown man while she was playing in her back yard.

Officers did not locate the man, but the resident later found his address. Officers spoke to the man about the incident and arrested him on unrelated charges.

Domestic violence, Stonehaven Road: A man reported Sept. 12 that his brother had pulled a gun on him. The suspect was no longer at the home when officers arrived, and the man requested no further assistance.

Suspicion, Norma Drive: A woman said Sept. 11 that she had learned that her ex-husband was alleged to have sexually abused his cousins and that she feared her daughter may now be in danger.

Officers advised the woman that any victims would have to come forward for any action to be taken.

Theft, Warrensville Center Road: A Walmart employee reported Sept. 11 that a North Randall woman, 32, had stolen a TV from the store a week earlier. He learned of the incident when the suspect committed the same crime at the Mayfield Heights Walmart and was arrested. A photo lineup was ordered for the employee to identify the suspect.

Theft, Mayfield Road: A Bedford man, 55, was arrested at Marc's Sept. 10 for the suspected theft of $143 worth of hygiene products. He was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after he was found with a suspected crack pipe.

Receiving stolen vehicle, South Green Road: A Euclid man, 20, was arrested Sept. 9 after he was found in possession of a vehicle that was entered as stolen out of Cleveland.

Juvenile complaint, Miramar Boulevard: A woman reported Sept. 8 that a boy had made threats on social media to shoot her foster son. She believed the threats were not truthful and stemmed from an incident with other foster children within her residence.

The woman was told to have her son block the other boy from all his social media accounts and to return to the police station if the threats continued.

Impaired driving, South Green Road:
A Lyndhurst man, 22, was arrested for OVI after his vehicle was randomly selected at an OVI checkpoint around 12:45 a.m. Sept. 8.

Drug possession, South Green Road: Two baggies of marijuana and a digital scale were located in a car that was randomly stopped at an OVI checkpoint around 11:30 p.m. Sept. 7. The driver, a 19-year-old Cleveland man, was cited and released.

Juvenile complaint, South Green Road: A library employee called police Sept. 6 about information on youths having oral sex at the library.

Breaking and entering, Warrendale Road: A resident reported Sept. 5 that someone had broken into his garage during the overnight hours and stolen a dirt bike. No suspects were identified.
