Film producer Guy has already snapped up Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery as a replacement
KATE Beckinsale is a quick mover – both when it comes to men and movies.
The Hollywood actress, caught snogging Jack Whitehall earlier this month, suddenly quit Guy Ritchie's new movie this week.
Kate resigned from gangster flick Toff Guys on Monday after deciding she could no longer commit to her role.
Guy has already found Kate’s replacement, signing up Downton star Michelle Dockery as the project’s leading lady. An insider said: “Kate turned up this week and decided she didn’t want to play the role any more.
“She explained that other stuff in her life, including an ill family member, meant she could not commit. Luckily Guy already had Michelle waiting in the wings to take over so that helped to ease the transition
“It’s a real shame, as it was a great gig for Kate but Guy is sure it will still be a box office hit now that Michelle is on board.”
The film, which was announced in May at the Cannes Film Festival, tells the story of a very British drug lord who tries to sell off his multi-million-pound empire to a dynasty of Oklahoma billionaires.
It features a host of A-list actors including Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Grant and Crazy Rich Asians breakout star Henry Golding.
Kate’s dramatic decision to quit comes after The Sun revealed she enjoyed a fling with comic Jack in an LA karaoke bar before they headed to a £2,000-a-night hotel together.
At least she won’t be short of company during her time off work.

Idris mixing it up
HE’S featured regularly as a guest on Radio 1 – but now Idris Elba is set to take the reins as a host.
I can reveal the actor will cover Pete Tong’s 9pm slot on Friday for a one-off broadcast. And he has created a special mix for listeners.
Idris explained: “Pete is getting the Idris elbow! I’m going to do a live mix on Radio 1 called the Armageddon mix – I’m an actor, it has to be dramatic. And what I’ve chosen to do is a mix as if it was my last one.”
It comes after Idris came ahead of the likes of Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and Mel Gibson to be named People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2018.

The reality star bared all as she lay on the cold, hard surface for her first GQ magazine cover shoot.
Kourtney, who turns 40 next year, now joins her sisters Kylie, Khloe and Kim who have all featured on the front of the men’s style mag.
The mum to Mason, eight, Penelope, six, and Reign, three, by her ex Scott Disick, told the mag: “I am very comfortable in my own skin and I think it is important to expose positive images of our body.”

Miley rises from ashes with track predicting fire
MILEY Cyrus lost her Malibu home in California’s wildfires – and she had eerily predicted the inferno on her new song.
She features on Mark Ronson's comeback single Nothing Breaks Like A Heart, recorded long before this month’s blaze swept across the region. On it she sings about heartbreak: “This burning house, there’s nothing left, it’s smoking.”
But Miley clearly wasn’t referring to her own relationship with actor Liam Hemsworth, as Mark revealed the action man rescued all of Miley’s pets during the disaster.
In an exclusive chat about the tune – out tomorrow and the first from his upcoming album — he said: “Her heroic boyfriend carried two 200lb pigs and eight dogs to safety, which I thought was pretty amazing actually. I was like, ‘I’d marry that guy’.”
Mark spent almost four years trying to get Miley to record with him. He said: “I was texting her and I’m pretty good at wearing people down until they’ll work with me. I had this little idea for this hook of the song. I sent it to her a few months ago and she wrote back the next day, ‘Yeah I wanna come, let’s record it’.”
It was worth the long wait.

The track is out under her new record deal with Awal – and she reveals she penned it just before she was diagnosed with ADHD.
She said: “I needed to write about how I felt that day. I was trying to work out what was wrong. I just thought I was really depressed – and I was, I guess. We wrote the song about things I missed out on because I didn’t feel great”
Gabrielle – who has also been working on her third album, due next year – added of My Mistake: “I want it to be raw.”
