Beyonce Has 'Proud Dad' Moment With Father Mathew Knowles

The singer's mother Tina Knowles posted a photo on Instagram Wednesday of Bey smiling cheek-to-cheek with her father, Mathew Knowles.
The photo was apparently taken May 7 when the singer's Formation World Tour stopped in Beyonce's hometown of Houston. The caption read: "Houston Concert proud dad!!!!"
Beyonce and her father have had a strained relationship since 2011, when the singer cut ties from his management label. Mathew Knowles, 64, managed the pop star for 14 years, taking her from Destiny's Child to solo superstar.
Beyonce recently opened up about forgiving her father on her latest album, "Lemonade."
In one song called "Daddy Lessons" the singer got introspective, sharing what she learned about men from her father. Beyonce also shut down rumors that her father had never met her daughter, Blue Ivy, in the song's corresponding music video. Home footage showed the two happily playing.
Tina Knowles, 62, divorced Mathew Knowles in 2011 after 31 years of marriage and is now married to actor Richard Lawson. But the two still keep company with their children; she also shared a photo of her ex-husband with her other daughter, Solange, and her grandson, Daniel Julez Smith, Jr.
Tina Knowles captioned that photo: "Proud daddy and grandpa Houston."
