Parents, tell the kids: a live performance of "Let It Go," the youth-captivating anthem from "Frozen," is in the offing.

The Coast Guard Band's Soprano Soloist Musician 1st Class Megan Weikleenget will do the honors during the band's Sunday concert at Fort Trumbull State Park.

And while the young'uns will thrill especially to that number, there's plenty more rousing tunes to be heard during the show.

A sampling: A Julie Andrews tribute (the hills will be alive!); "Fantastic Polka," a trombone showcase featuring Senior Chief Musician Vince Yanovitch; and a performance by the Dixieland Jazz Band.

If that's not enough, hear this: the whole shebang will end with the grandly theatrical "1812 Overture" by Tchaikovsky. As you'd hope, it comes with cannon fire included, thanks to The Artillery Company of Newport, R.I.

And it's always worth noting: all of the fabulous Coast Guard Band's concerts throughout the year are free.

Coast Guard Band, 3 p.m. Sunday, Fort Trumbull State Park, 90 Walbach St., New London; free; (860) 701-6826.
