JACKSON, MI - Dr. Rose Johnson has been named to the Center for Family Health's top medical position.
Johnson, who's been a family-medicine physician at the center since 2002, succeeds Dr. Sharon Rouse as supervisor of all medical operations.
"It's a pleasure to welcome Dr. Johnson as our new chief medical officer, Molly Kaser, Center for Family Health CEO, said in a press release. "She and Dr. Rouse have worked together on leadership issues for several years, so this is a natural progression."
Rouse will continue her role as pediatrician and in medical education leadership, according to the release.
Johnson is an internal medicine specialist for adults. Prior to her appointment as chief medical officer, she was the center's lead physician.
Dr. Diana Ellis
Diana Ellis also has been promoted to serve as the center's dental director.
She will lead clinical operations at the Center for Family Health Dental Clinic, 500 N. Jackson St.
Ellis joined the Center for Family Health Dental Clinic in 2017, previously working at the Community Dental Center in Ann Arbor and other public dental practices in Michigan.
"Dr. Ellis has excellent leadership experience as well as clinical expertise that will help CFH grow and improve our health services," Kaser said in a press release. "Dr. Ellis brings strong patient advocacy skills to our leadership team and we're very excited to work with her in this new capacity."
The job title of dental director has not been used at the center for several years, according to the release. Sarah Malinda has been the lead dentist at the center for six years.
