BAXTER, Minn. - Ruth Bartel, 89, Baxter, formerly Cherokee, Iowa, and Emery, S.D., died Wednesday, Sept. 12, in Northern Lakes Assisted Living .

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at Hettinger-Bittner Funeral Chapel in Emery. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Emery. Burial will be in Emery Community Cemetery.
