In today's world, learning a foreign language has become paramount. It opens up a world of job opportunities, gives your brain a boost, allows for friendships to form across cultures, broadens your understanding of the world, and helps you appreciate your mother tongue in a new way.

As Egyptians, foreign languages were never our forte. And to make things worse, we possess a unique way of pronouncing English words, which, in comparison to other non native English speakers around the globe, can reach whole new, cringe inducing levels!

The reason for that is because, as pupils, our focus was always on written exams, which typically weighed heavier on our grade point average. But all that changes on that fateful day when we see our first American movie. A7eeh!

And so we embark on a self-teaching journey, catching up on what we had missed at school. Today, we bring you a nice, lighthearted way to improve your English language skills.

Let's start with the basics: "in", "on", and "at".

Omar Abdelrahim, the man behind the hilarious video above is an English language tutor based in Cairo.

Abdelrahim uses humor in his classes and Youtube videos to make it easier for his students to learn and master English.

The letter "P" is not our favorite

The letter "P" does not exist in our alphabet. This is why we sound hilarious when it's Pepsi time!

Worry not, Abdelrahim is here to help us pronounce words with the letter 'P' in them, by spitting, in a cute "girly" way, ah wallahi!

Here's how to pronounce "T". It may be a tad too challenging for the untrained tongue, but just remember: no pain, no gain.

Here are two hilarious videos about how to correctly pronounce some brand names. Pay attention, you may have been getting some wrong ;)

Ew3a!!!

As he explains in the first video of the two, your pronunciation depends on who you're talking to. He even made a hashtag for it :

إعرف_الصح_و خليه_جواك#

"Know the right way to do things and keep it to yourself! "

Wise words!
