Bulky on-screen restaurant consultant Robert Irvine was recently spotted in Philly, reportedly filming a show called Fitness: Impossible for the Food Network, according to Daily News columnist Molly Eichel. Irvine was "spotted [...] at the Sporting Club at the Bellevue last week working out with a hefty partner," according to Eichel's sources.
A press release from the network has touted Fitness: Impossible as a one-off special that will air on Food Network on Wednesday, January 7th at 11 p.m. Per their own vague description of the show, which is timed to coincide with your inevitable New Year's resolution to exercise more, "host Robert Irvine embarks on a different kind of impossible challenge — motivating and guiding fans to get fit and healthy."
Eichel hears that filming locations have included Philly, Bucks County, and New Orleans. Irvine himself tweeted about the filming of the new show at least as early as September:
