Mica Hughes, Melyssa Ford And Other ‘Blood, Sweat & Heels’ Co-stars React To Daisy Lewellyn’s Passing

Daisy Lewellyn’s Blood, Sweat & Heels co-stars have paid tribute to her after news broke on Friday that she passed away from cancer. After news of Daisy’s death was released, Mica Hughes, Melyssa Ford, Demetria Lucas, and Geneva Thomas, all of whom starred on the show’s two seasons alongside Daisy, paid tribute to her. Brie Bythewood, who was on season 1, and Chantelle Fraser and Arzo Anwar, who joined the show for its second season, also reacted publicly to the news.

Early on Friday, the show’s network, Bravo, released a statement expressing sadness over Daisy’s death.

“We are devastated to learn that Daisy Lewellyn from Bravo’s Blood, Sweat & Heelshas passed away this morning after a battle with a rare form of Cancer. Daisy passed on in peace and filled with joy, surrounded by her family and friends.We are all saddened to lose this wonderful woman. Our thoughts and deepest sympathy are expressed.”

Andy Cohen, who was head of development at Bravo for many years and hosted the season 1 reunion show, shared that he was heartbroken over Daisy’s death. He praised Daisy’s spirit and attitude through everything.

Andy later tweeted that everyone was rooting for Daisy, who had such great energy and was a good person.

Mica posted a photo of herself with Daisy in the hospital. Mica wrote that she will miss Daisy but is thankful that God brought them together and is comforted to know that she’s in a better place.

Mica was one of the co-stars with a particularly strong bond with Daisy. On the season 2 premiere, Daisy told Mica about her cancer diagnosis when explaining why she hasn’t been going out much. Mica cried as Daisy told her about the cancer.

“My makeup artist was like, ‘Your eyes are like green.’ Like the white of my eyes were lime green. So I go to the doctor. They run some tests, and he was looking like he just saw a ghost.”

Melyssa talked of her shock and grief upon learning of Daisy’s death. Melyssa revealed that she actually dreamed about Daisy last night.

Melyssa later praised Daisy’s spirit and strength despite what she was going through. Melyssa shared that she’s a better person to have known Daisy. Melyssa also used Daisy’s death to remind people that they aren’t guaranteed the chance to tell others they love them whenever they get around to it.

Geneva shared that her heart is heavy and that she’ll miss Daisy.

Demetria offered her condolences to Daisy’s family.

Brie, who left the show after the first season, also sent her prayers and condolences to Daisy’s family.

Daisy Lewellyn had her cancerous tumor removed and went on with chemotherapy and radiation after more cancer cells were found. Throughout season 2 of Blood, Sweat & Heels, Daisy’s struggle to continue with her career and personal life while going through her cancer treatments was shown. In one episode, she talked about her mounting medical bills and ensuing financial struggle. Yet despite everything that she was going through, Daisy always remained positive, optimistic and upbeat. She was shown relying on her strong faith in God and bond with her parents to help her get through her difficult days.

The season 2 finale episode, which aired in June 2015, showed Daisy telling some of her co-stars that she was officially in remission from cancer. She celebrated the end of radiation with Mica and Chantelle with some champagne.

Chantelle shared a snap shot of that scene. Chantelle described Daisy as a “light” who always gave and smiled through her pain. Chantelle added that Daisy helped her get through the drama of the reality show.

Arzo, who along with Chantelle joined the show’s second season, wrote that Daisy was taken too soon.

Unfortunately for fans of Blood, Sweat & Heels, a season 2 reunion show was never filmed, and so a more recent update on Daisy Lewellyn’s health was never provided. There has been no official confirmation on whether there will be another season of the show starring Mica Hughes, Melyssa Ford, Demetria Lucas, Geneva Thomas, Arzo Anwar, and Chantelle Fraser.
