Actor Hugh Laurie said Tuesday that he imagines that Dr. Gregory House, the fictional misanthropic medic he played on TV for years, would offer a simple prescription for curbing the coronavirus outbreak.
“I can’t speak for House, obviously — no one’s written clever words for me to say — but I’m pretty sure he’d tell you it’s not a matter of ‘solving’ Covid,” Laurie tweeted. “This is an epidemic, not a diagnostic problem. We solve it together by staying apart.”
The 60-year-old British actor starred on “House” over eight seasons from 2004 to 2012.
Laurie also indicated Wednesday that he’s been practicing some serious hygiene amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“My hands may be wearing away faster than the soap,” he chirped.
